WALT: develop fundamental skills required for athletics 

WILF: - Correct technique for throwing the discus and shotput

Correct technique for long jump and high jump

Passing the baton accurately in relay sprint I  am proud of my running 

It was a challenge for me to jump high but. I will not give up

My next step is to jump higher

Next year I would like to jump higher

My best event was long jump because it was fun

WALT: develop the skills or batting, bowling, throwing, and fielding in cricket

WILF: 

- overarm throwing when fielding

- catching with hands held like a basket

- straight arm bowling

- eyes on the ball and move the bat all the way through when batting

The skill I am best at throwing because Is I try my hardest

My next step is to hit further with the bat

Reading term 4

WALT: listen to a novel and reflect on the story reflect on the story as we Think about the characters, setting, plot and athors purpose

Excellence

WALT:  display excellence in all that we do

WILF: has been 'me' displaying 'my best, a can do attitude' in different situations, environments and in my learning.

Next Step:  I believe I still need to work on showing excellence in ....  I will do my best to do this in 2017.

Olympics

The first olympics was hosted in Greece. 4,700 medals were made for the 2012 games. 

The Olympic gold medal are more silver than gold. The most medals given out to one person was 16 golds medals. 16 countries haven't even got a single medal. 

The first medal was given to James Connoly the American. Gold medals were only gold for 100 years. They used to give out olive wreath in 1896 that changed.

Holidays

 On the 12 of July 2016 me my grandad my sister and my cousin went fishing. We got set up. 13 minutes in my cousin got  a fish. We weren't having luck so we went up the road.

Down the road we got better luck 16 minutes in I already had 4 fish my cousin had 6 my sister had 1

My grandad Seid were going in half an hour I smashed some pawa for bate in half an hour I caught 5 my cousin caught 1 my sister caught 2 my grandad caught 3.

On the way home we rang my nana she Seid for lunch we were having pies and sausage rolls my cousin didn't listen he got winey to everyone. When we got home we had lunch it was yummy. After lunch I was watching YouTube my grandad came in and gave me a trophy it Seid for catching most fish 12.7.2016

Olympics Diamond poem

In our independence classroom we had to make a diamanté poem 2 nouns 4 verbs 3 adjectives

Going to kohupatiki marae

I loved having a visit to kohupatiki marae on the  24.6.16 for the whole day we did 4 different activities eatch. I did games,story of the Marae,poi making,flax weaving,and everyone made a chocolate chip cookie stars with hundreds of thousands on the top. It was a quite nice day. Everyone went into different groups eatch group went with a jounour class. I think everyone loved it in Clive school

Earth to Pluto

Task: write a set of instructions on how to get from Earth to a planet of your choice.

WALT:

- a chosen planet’s location in the solar system.

- a chosen planet’s distance from earth.

- planets you will pass by to get to the chosen planet.

- obstacles that may be on the journey, e.g. Atmosphere, moons...

Reading work with Mr Wallace

WALT:read narative story's and to look at meanings of the story's we have also done character profiles.

WILF:I can understand and talk about a story I can identify what a character is like from a story.

This story is about a crayfish exapape to the sea

Writing

We had to do a free write BUT we had to add a duck keys and jandles

There was a duck who found a key in a hotel. It said apparent 666. The duck went to 666

Opened the door there was a wardrobe with four locks on it. the duck pick locked them all

There was a dead body on the wall the duck went to the phone dials 911 said police. There was a jump scare on t.v. He fell out the window  there was a man on top of the building laughing the police tracked the phone and did an investigation in the morning. The next day the police went to 666 they saw were the duck fell one of the cops got pulled into the darkness another one got covered in blood he couldn't see he shot another cop one of the cops put on a sweet pair of jandles and got teleported in a volcano there was one cop left he had a sledgehammer he dropped the sledgehammer on the man's foot he ran down stairs got more cops to come up

They locked the man up and took him to prison 

                                                          HE EXPECTED 

No one could find him 

Later they went to 666 and carved in the wall it said 

                                                                           RUN

The cops heard screaming everyone was gone

For writing this term I have been doing a narative story this is one so far.

It was a dark gloomy day the rain was so fast that it stung. the sand was very wet

The frozeness. Alien ship stood strong on the beach.
